BLETCHLEYS DEFENCE MISSION TYPES BH&HII V2

Defence Missions edited by Bletchley especially for 'Wings: Over Flanders Fields' and updated for BH&HII
They are designed to add a national flavour to the briefings for the Defence Mission Types
used by WOFF when a unit is Working Up or is otherwise non-operational for reasons other than bad weather.
These are all solo training or test flights, and can be used in two ways:

They can directly replace the stock DefenceMissionTypes file in the CampaignData folder. Select the national identity
of your pilot (Britain, German, France, USA) and copy the DefenceMissionTypes file from this folder to paste
into the CampaignData folder of WOFF, overwriting the stock file after first copying and retaining the stock
DefenceMissionTypes file as backup.

In addition, if you are using a 3rd Party Missions MOD, you can copy the CONTENT of the relevant national
Bletchley Defence Mission Types file and paste this into the stock missions file in CampaignData (retaining
the file name but overwriting the content) after first copying and saving the stock mission file to somewhere
safe. So, if your Pilot is British and flying in a reconnaissance/bombing unit in 1917 this would be :
BritishBomberMissionTypes1917. When joining a unit, or when your unit receives new aircraft types that you
are not already familiar with, you can switch from 3rd Party Mission Types to Stock mission types in Workshop
and can fly Defence Mission Types until you have gained familiarity with the new aircraft type, or the new area
of operations, and are ready to switch back to the more demanding combat missions by then reversing the procedure.

Once installed make sure you check the workshop setting is set as per point 4. below.

Post questions you may have about these missions or their use to Bletchley in either of the WOFF forums

Instructions
============

1. Unzip this zipped folder to a temporary place on your PC.

2. You should have an unzipped folder 'Defence Mission Types' and this Read me. Inside this 'Defence Mission Types'
folder there should be 4 subfolders :

'Britain' 'France' 'Germany' 'USA'.

Inside each of these there should be one 'DefenceMissionTypes' file.

3. At C:\OBDSoftware\WOFF\OBDWW1 Over Flanders Fields\campaigns\CampaignData
(change this appropriately if you installed WOFF to somewhere else of course)
you will find a file 'DefenceMissionTypes'. Delete this file after first copying it to somewhere safe
Paste the relevant national 'DefenceMissionTypes' file into the CampaignData folder.
So you end up with this :
C:\ OBDSoftware\WOFF\OBDWW1 Over Flanders Fields\campaigns\CampaignData\DefenceMissionTypes

Then Exit WOFF back to desktop and restart WOFF.

5. Now you should see the national 'defence mission' types.

To return to stock defence mission types, just reverse the procedure.

If things break, then delete the DefenceMissionTypes file (only!) and paste back in the stock DefenceMissionTypes file.
Then exit WOFF to desktop and restart WOFF
If you still have problems uninstall and reinstall WOFF as per section 17) of the WOFF FAQ, available from the WOFF
Website downloads page.
